The Technique

What is it?

 

It is a series of ideas and techniques known to some as Doodle Art, ZenArt (Zen Art), Tangle Patterns, Zendalas, Zendoodling (Zen Doodling), and others as Zentangle. It is a form of meditation through drawing, which is based on the realization of patterns structured in squares during their learning process, these patterns later tend to be included in more complex drawings to obtain results that are perceived with more elaboration work; it is a form of expression with great possibilities among them: the application on different supports and with different materials generating unique and unexpected results.

It is an easy technique to learn, relaxing and fun, the most important thing: it does not discriminate manual or motor skills, interests, age, materials for practice, among others. It can be enjoyed by everyone to unconsciously acquire the benefits it provides.

 

Characteristics of meditating drawing

 

  • It is an intuitive technique

Despite the fact that the technique is the result of repeating a series of very simple steps to generate unique and unrepeatable pieces, it has as the main objective, self-knowledge through a creative process that allows free expression where error does not exist.

Practicing the technique offers a fun and joyful way to relax. Facilitates a change of focus and perspective. The way of creating art with the technique is free, however, it is sufficiently structured and organized so that you can enjoy, benefit and internalize this activity.

The technique does not allow you to have a preconceived idea of the end result of your work, since it is the result of meditation that is intuitive and experimental; thus managing to generate different patterns and variations each time they are repeated.

The final piece will always be unique and unrepeatable, being the result of the relaxation, concentration and inspiration of each moment.
